[member=59319]KescoNY[/member], I wouldn't recommend trying an oversized bag. I'm not sure what you'd achieve plus I just don't think it would work well at all.

You could use the long life bag for the 36 with your AC.

His reasoning behind it was that the ct loses suction before the bag is full, more like 3/4 full.  If i used a larger bag, i can use it to its full capacity.

You will constrained by the size of the plastic enclosure though. I doubt you will see any benefit.

[member=59319]KescoNY[/member] sounds like a lack of understanding of the design of Festool vacs. They are designed to prevent loss of suction prematurely. For that reason, I'd recommend sticking with the appropriately sized bag, in addition to what Peter said.

Quick q - I was looking at going all in for the TS55+MFT3+CT36 package ( PT36561556 ) but was surprised that it's only about 9% off ( $1874 of $2050 instead of $1779 ).

Not to gripe but I was really stretching the budget and (headscratch) ~thought~ the list actually showed $1779 before the 1st.  Was that only for pre-orders and/or is there a reason it's not at 15%?

Again, happy for any savings but was already stretched thin and it let some air of out my sails to think it's another $100.

[member=61219]razl[/member], welcome to the forum!

The price appears correct based on my calculations. 10% off the MFT, 15% off the CT.

I wonder if you may have originally seen the price for the CT 26 instead of 36.

Feel free to email me direct if you have questions, shane@toolnut.com.

Ahh, ok - I was (mis)thinking it was 15% off the entire package.  Thanks for the clarification!

Negative, ghostrider; I've been focused like a laser on the 36. [wink]

All, we've gotten a few calls this morning inquiring about when CT promo items will ship. All orders placed leading up to the promo will ship out today.

Also, CT-SYS orders will be going out the door today.

Shane:

1) Does the Oneida special run through June like the festool special, or just as stock permits?

2) Is the Oneida the newer, upgraded model, that was supposed to address possible issues with some users CT vacs?

We will be running this promo through 7/15. Since it's starting after the Festool promo, we will be extending it a bit.

If you're talking about the static issues that were causing problems a couple of years ago, Oneida took steps to resolve those problems shortly after they were reported. I personally have not heard or read about any such issues in a long time. If you're concerned, I would suggest starting another thread to poll recent buyers of the UDD for independent confirmation.

Shane, or anyone who has one of these, how tall is the collector box with the cyclone attached without the dust extractor?  I love the idea of this but need to know how tall it is.

Thanks guys very much for the quick response!  That's exactly the info I was looking for.  I don't think either of you ever sleep!

The Dust Deputy promo is a great deal from Tool Nut  [smile], Oneida will ding you for an additional $25 in shipping, once you get past their mandatory account creation page if you want to buy something.

Just eyeballing it, I don't think it's even close, but I'm away from my shop.  Has anybody tried to use the two together?

copcarcollector shows about 31" from floor to top of DD.  However, don't forget that you need to connect the top of the DD to the vac -- you need to include the bend radius of the hose to make sure a particular setup will fit.

I almost forget to take advantage of the sale to grab a few things.  One of the items I just never thought was priced all that well is the Festool 500483 Drill Dust Collection Nozzle.  With the sale I finally broke down and ordered one, along with a long life filter bag for the midi and few other things.
