I was at Connect and they had a sanding assortment in a systainer at the new tool station.  It had foam sanders, assorted hand sanding pads, etc.  Is this available as a kit or were they just putting the new assorted pads out there?

I have inquired about this with Festool USA. This set is available in other countries, but not in the U.S. or Canada. They have some kits that are available just to Festool employees for demo purposes. Customers can only purchase these items individually and the Systainer insert is not available.

It's about $100 worth of abrasives if you buy them separately. A SYS 2 is $76. And, you'd get to choose which ones you want.

I guess there's someone importing these into the country...  [unsure]

I spoke with the people demoing the new sanders (where the sandpaper kit was sitting) and they said they will be available in October unless they were mistaken.  They gave me the number 202510 to order in October.

I just saw this item on Amazon Germany.  Less than $100 including shipping to the US.  Somebody here in the US must be importing or just buying them retail, and doubling the price.

I was also told that the sanding kit would be available October 2. [member=57769]TylerC[/member] can you verify this before I put it on our website and start taking pre-orders?

The HMS-SYS abrasive assortment Systainer is not available in the US or CA. As [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] mentioned, we will use them for demo purposes, which is why it was at Festool Connect. We don't currently have plans to release it in North America.
