Another question... My CT Mini no longer works...  and needs to be sent for repairs does fest tool ship a box to send it in? It's out of warranty..  And how much does shipping usually run? zip code is 60502
 
We would not provide a box. We actually recommend not shipping the tub part, only the top section. The UPS website can give you quotes for shipping time and cost. Not near a computer at the moment.
 
My experience with Festool service is outstanding.  My Recon TS 55 was dead when I got it.  Shipped it to service on Tuesday.  Got it back Friday all fixed and working.

Thanks, Mike. I will, and usually do share positive comments that I read here with the service team. They have a thankless job for the most part, so any time I can let them know that their work is appreciated, I do. We definitely have the best service team in the industry. I'm sure they would appreciate a quick email from anyone who has a good experience.

my CT mini still works it just that when on auto it stays running.. I need to get it fixed but I am in the middle of a project and  almost done with the sanding... the way the weather looks I should send it in

Sorry, I didn't realize I was logged into our UPS account. So, it was showing me our negotiated rates.
 
If you have a FedEx location near to you to drop off at, you might try checking their prices online.  They've always been the cheapest for me.

I got a UK service report. At first I thought it was the switch on my CMS wouldnt work so I fooled with it and then traced it back to my plug on my old CT 22 that I bought used and shipped over here  It gave up the ghost. I plugged different tool in it and they wouldnt work. But would on my CT26. So I called festool UK.
Cary (spelling) was very gracious on the phone and hunted down a 110v US style plug for me . That surprized me that they would have one over here. I should be getting it tomorrow,. That is awesome since I ordered it yesterday afternoon just before they close for the day.
My hats off to festool UK.

When we met up today I said that I was going to mention one of your posts but forgot which one - this is it!

I have had several UK YouTube people say that the Festool service is pretty slick.

Ive had 2 maybe 3 dealings with Festool UK repair. They all have been positive experiences for me. No complaints here

It was good seeing you today to. I am disappointed that i only had breakfast on my shirt and I didnt get to wear lunch around with me the rest of the day.

I dropped and broke my ctl midi and it was repaired under warranty. I understand this is discretionary but I was pretty amazed.
