Good evening, just wondering if anyone can help, I have broken my mains charger for this light, Festool have sent me the replacement part code for the charger, which is 498857.  I can’t find it anywhere for less than £80.00.  I am reluctant to spend that amount on a new charger, does anybody know of one which will fit the light from eBay or somewhere that won’t cost a small fortune?  Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks for your time

$80 in the US as well. Lots of possibilities on the web for a 12v 1.5a D.C. Supply. If I got the info right.

Yeah! I've made angry comments about this before here. The pricing of this 'part' is DISGUSTING!!!

You can but cheaper alternatives, but none I've found that are nearly as rugged or have nearly as long a cord. . . One option is to use the car charger that comes with it - just buy a £3 adapter for Mains>12v lighter socket on eBay.

But it pisses me of extremely that Festool charge £60 for the cheap power cable of a £120 light! Not Cool!

Would be OK would the light itself also be 60 quid.

If it was me I would look at buying a used second KAL light from somewhere like eBay it would probably cost the same as a new charger on its own, that's of course if the KAL and KAL II chargers are the same. If they are then you would have two lights and one charger.

Very funny [big grin] But if half the cost of the Syslite is the cord. . . please Festool can I but the Syslite without cord for £60?

In response to another post - I can confirm the Syslite I & II and Sysrock all use the same cord.
