Hi this problem is probably common and has been mentioned countless times.

I brought one of these systainers to make my site life simpler, however it is currently still sat in my office collecting dust. I've spent countless hours trying to find the tools that actually fit the insert but have now given up, instead I am in the process of having two modified blank version manufactured as prototypes, one to fit the sys4 and another to fit the sys5 for those longer tools.

Once I get the prototypes back and make sure they go together nicely i'll post some pictures for people to look at and depending on the reaction I get I may consider have a run of these blank inserts made and put them on eBay. They'll come un-assembled so that people can cut and drill them as required to suit there needs and should be reasonably priced.

Also I would be very interested to hear what other people have done to get over this problem?

Here was my solution.  I put the tote/carrier inside a Sys5.

I found plenty of tools to fit into the slots and holes.  I'll take some new pics and post the updated "inventory" for the tool tote.
In particular, I like the Wera and Felo hand drivers.

Specifically, these:

hi there  [welcome] to the fog
i hope this is for a t loc
i was planing on building one of those myself as i dont think the festool one will suit my needs. i would like a set of normal site chisels, set of stubby chisels, blockplane, rebate plane, diamond sharping block , card scraper+sharpering gear, screw driver set, tapes etc. basically a hand tool sys for fitting doors, adjusting things etc

i think there is a market for custom ones but the problem is everybodys tools are different and needs change
