Festool Trim Router Dust Collection Question

Hi, I have a trim router, when I use the dust attachment with the standard base, dust comes out of the other dust collection port build into the base. How can I prevent this from happening. I am currently using the router with a 1/4 in round over bit on a piece of MDF.

Welcome to the forum.

You could try using the upper port to see if that provides better results. A larger diameter dust extraction hose and/or Y-adapter with two hoses connected to each of the ports would help. Or, you could cap the upper port.
