Honestly - I understand the connection, but I think the wording on the back is crass and blunt.

If Festool are in support of the charity, just the logo should have sufficed. The slogan on the back is too commercialised and looks like Festool is trying too hard to commercialise and financially benefit from advertising when "supporting" a charity.

The slogan on the back puts the Festool support in context. I bet 99% of the public have never heard of Festool and so anyone seeing just "Festool" would have no clue why it is there.

I think raising money for the British Lung Foundation is a good thing. My granddad was a coal miner and died from emphysema before he reached retirement. I never met him. My father suffered from COPD and hearing his struggled breathing as he lay dying was not something I will ever forget.

Well done Festool.

I agree raising money for a charity is a good thing. But trying to feather your own nest in such an obvious way isn't classy.

Tesco support the British Heart Foundation, but you don't see them saying "Hey buy our vitamins, vegetables and exercise equipment" on the back of t-shirts.

....co-operation like this is not unusual and as for the slogan it gets the message across on looking after lung health long term in relation to dust. Sure it is commercial as brand awareness is present but BLF also benefit and hopefully all who work in the trades.

Interesting how I can get a cycling zip top shipped from festool UK - something I have absolutely no desire for  - but -  If I want some metric zobo bits or 8mm shank router bits then Festool actively limits my ability to get those with a lame whitewash about not compatible, not practical , not necessary, ect...

And this even extends to putting the screws to companies once willing to send these accessories stateside.

This seems like a bit of an off course unnecessary slam in this topic.  I don't think every topic needs to be turned into a what's wrong with Festool discussion. There are plenty of topics devoted to what people think is wrong with Festool or
Festool products without having it interjected into things like this one.
