HEY!! What happened to the online dealer links page on the Festool U.S. website? Now there are only 12 dealers listed, Festool keeps changing the way they do business,ie. direct sales then local dealers now?
We have implemented new guidelines for our online dealers designed to protect our customers. In this day and age, it is imperative that ecommerce websites be very secure to protect the confidential information of the business and its customers. As we have all seen in the news, identity theft continues to be a problem. You will notice that dealers in the online dealer directory now display a security verification seal on their website which shows that their website was scanned by an independent security vendor for vulnerabilities and security issues.
Having been involved with ecommerce for many years now, it's very apparent that a lot of websites have vulnerabilities, which they are unaware of, that can compromise credit card and other confidential information. Dealers in our online dealer directory are held to very high standards to protect you as consumers. Additionally, these dealers offer a good selection of accessories and consumables for our tools. While it's not always apparent on the surface, we work very hard to provide customers with the absolute best experience from the first steps of researching a purchase all the way through the life of the tool.
In all fairness, this does not imply that a Festool e-commerce dealer who is not listed in our directory has security issues.
Edit: There are actually 18, not 12 currently listed.
