Festool used on famous or landmark building projects

In SysNotes this past month, I included an article that was very well received and posted about here on the forum about a flagpole in Portland being reclaimed as a table. That got me wondering... Do any of you know of Festool power tools being used on a project for a famous or landmark building? If so, please share.

How about a building that's not famous but is really cool or historic?

I have a customer that often is commissioned to do repair or restoration type work at the Capitol Building, here in Austin. I would say it qualifies as historical and landmark.

He isn't a member of the FOG to my knowledge and stays pretty busy. I'm not sure he would have the time or inclination to do much here but I can ask. I don't know that he documents his deeds...

Done a few things here, repairs & shelving, nothing spectacular but Festools used on all of them

Bits date from 13th Century, some from 15th Century, so kind of a "new build" around here. [tongue] [tongue]

I made the Oak windows for this window restoration
for the Chapel at Sir William Turners Almshouses in Redcar UK
built in 1670, and the chapel redone in about 1740,
Sir William was the Lord Mayor of London in 1669
he is the one in the right window
and is brother John Turner in the left
they spent 1 year on the glass restoration
But the frames are  nearly all hide behind the paneling
the 3 windows are curved and the middle one has a arched top but the glass is flat

The age of your buildings boggles my mind. It's pretty amazing the work people did without power tools. They did by hand, what is almost not even possible today due to the cost. Working on buildings from the 15th century would be almost intimidating.

I know this is a old topic but anyway. I have been doing work in St Patricks Cathedral, Dublin for the last 13 years and some of the joinery and furniture is expected to last for hundreds of years. I have worked on windows and doors that are 600 years old as they have records of them being made. Also did work on the hand cut roof truss that have been dated around 900 years old.

I'm currently working on the Spring Valley School House. Located in the Napa Valley.
The general's Grand Father attended school here back in the day. Not sure on the original date. The bridge out front is dated 1901.
