Normally one would take the plug of the TS55 and plug it into the receptacle of the CT22. And then stick the black rubber end of the CT22's hose into the dust port of the TS55. Why, don't yours match up? They should.

The question by the OP is understandably odd, especially since he's an original member.  I think that's what JMB was inferring.  True, that doesn't mean it correlates to a lot more product knowledge, but I can see where JMB's coming from.

hi richard.

i highly recommend you sign up for one of the festool classes held by festool usa.
i am not sure where you are located, but i am pretty sure they hold the classes in lebanon.

i also recommend searching for festool ts-55 on youtube.

there are a great many festool videos to learn from on youtube.
and as they say, a picture says a thousand words!

Wondering if you have the larger 36mm hose on your ct? you need the smaller 27mm ended hose. I think you can get a 36mm hose fitting with the 27mm end.

Does this mean that you are adding to your Festool collection?  I think that you had a Domino before?  Nothing special needed.  The hose end goes inside the port on the TS-55 while it goes over the post on the Domino.

WOW ! What a great bunch of guys.

OK, let me explain. I was running late for work and posted my question rather hurriedly and didn't give full information. I've had my vac ant saw for 8 to 10 years now. The port on my saw is square and the hose is round. Never having connected the vac to the saw before I wasn't sure if it need an adapt0r or not. 

I use my saw very little, I still have the original blade on it.  I don't do a lot of field work and I have a Felder slider in the shop so the TS55 mostly sits in it box.  I finally have a need to make some cuts in a house and so the quick question on how to connect it to the saw. Ya, I finally figured out you just have to force a round peg into a rectangle hole.

To the guy from the UK, I hope everyone in the UK is not like you.

. you asked a very odd question where you didnt inform us of the unique situation you are in . if you had stated that your saw was not the same as the current style of ts55s you would have gotten a more constructive answer.

Thanks for the picture, Richard.  Now I understand your concern.  All of the TS55's I've ever seen and my own have a swiveling circular elbow that the D27 hose just slips in or the D36 hose goes over.  I guess it's some older design, but should still take both hoses the same way.

i wonder is that black rotating port missing.
if not .
is there a flandge all the way round the port so you could put a dubeli clip on it. if so you could get a short piece (6")of a 36mm hose and dubeli clip it on, then put a 36mm hose end on  the 27mm hose will then push into that.

It's a different generation saw  Look at the speed control dial and baseplate.

thats the aft55 not ts55 try asking the right question in the first place and you won't get answers like that.
