Festool vac auto fuction

This might be a daft question but does the auto fuction on vacs work on cordless tools or is it only ran through the power point

From factory: Only through the outlet.

The manual function works better for that. And that works well if you are running something fairly continuously.
Even if the tool goes on and off, the vacuum can run for a long time without any bother.

You put it to on (on the extractor)?but plug the extractor into a remote controlled plug and you can then switch it on and off from a remote. I have this for my workshop extractor and it works well. Cost about £10 from Aldi or Lidl but places like Maplin do them.
