Does anyone have or have used the Festool Vacuum Cup VT 277x32, Narrow (580065)?
Is there any special trick that I should be doing? I've inserted it properly with the pin and have tried various narrow stock, but nothing seems to stick. The default suction pads that came wit my Vac Sys work perfectly.
There just doesn't seem to be enough airflow in the narrow cup. Does anyone else have this problem?
Any help would be much appreciated!

When you removed the original cup, do the green plunge plug in the center was still on the unit or it came off with the cup?

The green pin is still on clamp when the original cup is removed. The narrow cup has its own green pin built in due to the increased height of the clamp

Probably know this but all of the edges of the cup must be contained within the wood. Also if you are testing on MDF it might not hold because the piece might let too much air through.

I’ve never had this problem with any of the heads.

Try clamping something that is non porous.  I have found that the clamping power on these narrow pods is not that strong even with something non porous, not enough square inches of surface area compared to the other pods.  It can work good enough though, when you need to clamp something that is narrow.

I had a similar problem when I used that vacuum cup the first time on my unit. Turned out I did not have the narrow cup completely seated in the vac sys head. It took extra force and fiddling to get it completely seated then it worked.
