Hi Everyone

Festool UK allowed me to borrow the Vecturo to make this video. I have used two other (very cheap) makes of multi tool and found then to be passable for cuts that cannot be achieved by any other means. With the Vecturo I was able to make some remarkably good cuts. The "Set" version of the Vecturo includes two depth stops and the superb plunge positioning tool. If you are considering the purchase of this machine then I strongly recommend the "Set" version.

I had great fun making the film and managed to make an accurate square hole in some kitchen work top without a practice go - in fact every cut you see in the film was the very first attempt.

Here is the link:

I realise that it may be a while before it hits the NA market but I hope that I have given you an idea of what to expect so that you can, perhaps, make do with your old machine until this one is available.

Peter,
Excellent. I have 4 fein Multi masters. And I just could not push myself to getting one of these guys, even though I knew I would.  Anyway me being a flooring guy, that plunge base sold me instantly.  Now seriously, enough with the naina stuff.  We need this tool in the states.  Let's go!!!!

I have no idea whatsoever about the process of getting an electrical item cleared for export to the US. I have no doubt that Festool HQ in Germany can do all they need to do in rapid time and so I suspect (but do not really know) that the onus is on the US to get things moving a little faster.

My brother used to export electronic machines to the US for use in the electronics production industry and he never had any problems whatsoever.

Peter, while the video was definetly nice, I got a vibe that this tool wasn't something you'd actually buy. Perhaps it's just me. On all your previous review-videoes, I wanted to buy the item your reviewing.  Sure; you acknowledge some great features - such as the plunge base - which could be the sole reason for someone to buy it, but it also lack some easily incorporated ones, such as the ones you mentioned. If you ask me, it seems to lack the festool "touch", which is what we pay for. Do you know how it compares to the fein models?

Peter great video review as usual.  I can't wait for this to land on this side of the pond.

Great video!  Very informative. I've been using an inexpensive Dremel oscillating tool.  Depending on NA pricing I think the added features of the Vecturo will be worth an upgrade.  Once it is no longer NAINA of course. [wink]

All that work and multiple wardrobe changes and props and Festool is only letting you borrow it?  Surely they can be a be more generous than that!

Great video and tool.
Kinda to bad I got a fein supercut a few months ago.
I hope the other parts in the kit,can be purchased for my fein.
Good job,
Chuck

As usual Peter, another outstanding video production.

Call me "Captain Obvious" but, given this is a Festool, there seems to be a few things missing from the tool.  The first and most surprising is the lack of dust collection.  The second missing item is the lack of depth stop/adjustment on the plunge base.

I have never used a Fein machine at all but in my limited knowledge of the market I have no hesitation in saying that this tool has all the design refinements to do what this class of tool should do and then it goes beyond that to set a new standard for others to follow. Yes, I have pointed out that improvements can be made by adding DC and that it would be nice to have a depth stop on the plunge guide accessory but these will follow. If they are not made by Festool then someone else will step in.

I only make videos of kit that I would be happy to recommend to my very best friend - On Monday I will be taking the Vecturo to show to a great friend who is a serious cabinet maker who occasionally needs to make small apertures during installation in the backs of cabinets. I think that he will love it. I will point out my observations but those do not stop me recommending this tool to him.

Thanks for the entertaining and informative demonstration of the Vecturo. I'm sure it would be good for renovation, wiring, soundstudio fitting, flooring and kitchen work. I've got other plans for now but the minute I have paid work that would justify this tool I won't hesitate to get the Vecturo...

About 7 years ago I needed one of these and each of the little scenes I created were in fact drawn from my requirements then. I would have no hesitation in getting the Vecturo today if I had to do that refurb work again.

Peter:

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but what camera(s) do you use to record your videos? I'm just curious...

Do original fien blades fit .ive been waiting for the vecturo and I've quite a lot of fien blades
The only thing to stop me buying would be cost of the blades

The Vecturo is a copy of the Fein SuperCut.
So all Fein SC blades do fit the Vecturo.
If you buy the Multimaster adapter for the SC from Fein, the MM blades will also fit the Vecturo.
I have also re-sharpened dull Fein blades, it's done by Leitz, a well respected company for that kind of jobs.

Ok that's cool thanks .looks like I will be getting some prices tomorrow

I've needed a multi tool for a while have been holding out .and buying blades here and there

That's sold it for me .especially after watching peters video

Has anyone heard if Festool is doing a cordless Vecturo?

Nope. No one heard.

Doubt you'll gonna see one anytime soon (next 2 years) . Festool just released the Vecturo, they will take their time to see how this tool does on the market before moving on and expanding the range.

Hi everyone,
Be drinking the green cool-aid a few moths now and do not see any cure in site  [smile] First off I want to say thanks for all the info in the past which really helped in my purchases.

Just got an email saying that this will be avalible Dec. 1 in NA.
Festool 563006 Vecturo OS 400 EQ        Price $425.00
Festool 563007 Vecturo OS 400 EQ Set  Price $575.00

Woundering if there is reason no sanding adapter like the Fein FSC 2.0Q Edition Wood SuperCut ( I have the RO 90 so not that big a deal) Also if this is a better unit? The Fein is $419.00 and tring to decide which way to go. I'm afraid the orange systainer might clash with the Festool Systainers.  [crying]

After using my cordless Carvex some lately, I am even more convinced that a cordless Vecturo would have all the power and battery life that I as a hobby worked would need. A cordless would also be so much more convenient.

I think that many pros might find that a cordless model would suit their needs also. I am not sure what situations would only be satisfied by a cordless Vecturo. I doubt many would be using it to break down sheets of plywood.

As noted before, I am not interested in a cordless Fein super cut because I already so much invested in Festool batteries. I will repeat what I said before; I will buy a cordless TS55 when Festool makes a cordless Vecturo.
