Festool video contest. Submit your video!

Try this free video converter if you just want to change the video file format to use in other software.  [wink]

And, be sure to re-submit your video once it's working right. Looks like it cuts off.

Hi Shane,
Thanks for putting this on! How strict are you guys on the 5 minute rule? I'm a minute over so just need to know whether I need to edit it down significantly. Thanks!

I should have posted about the video length before since I've had a couple of questions about it already. Consider the 5 minutes a guideline, not a rule. It can be longer. But, generally people have a short attention span (myself included) so we just wanted to make sure we didn't get any 30 minute videos. So, rock on.

I just completed my registration.  This is the first time I ever uploaded a video to You Tube, will you let people know if there is anything wrong with the link we put on the entry form?

Got it! It would be good to see a follow up after you finish reorganizing. Thanks for taking the time to participate.

Shane

As the submitted videos being liked on the Festool.TV channel or are they secret until the end of the contest?

Peter

Peter,

None of the videos are currently in a playlist or anything on our YouTube channel. They should all be accessible on YouTube. Doing a search for "Festool" and filtering by the last month will show many of them I suspect.

I'm sure will publish some of them in a future SysNotes for all to view.

Thanks,
Shane

Fair warning... today is the deadline.

Thanks to all who have participated thus far and good luck to all. I've seen quite a few familiar names from our FOG members on the participant list.

It's always great to share the experience of how our customers use our tools. So, this has been a particular fun contest for me.

Shane

The one that Richard was referring to is this one:

It is a parody on a commercial aired here for a beer.

Peter

Yes, but I got the feeling that he really was making fun of Festool and Festool users.  At least he found a hand tool to use.

I thought the same thing Peter.

I will change my statement.  At least he found a hand tool to screen capture and insert into his video.

I deleted my earlier comment. I watched the video again, and now I see how he's mocking Festool users.

Oh well, the joke's on him as he's missing out.

Congrats to Spencer Ratliff, our video contest grand prize winner, and a thank you to all of our contest participants and finalists. I will be sharing more of the entries with you in the coming days/weeks.

Be sure to watch the full video and share.

I knew this video was going to win. After I watched this video, I thought to myself... "I sure am glad I didn't post a video"

Well done sir!

I saw that video via the live stream; very very well done.  Wonder what type of blade he used to cut that log :)

I also actually liked some of the commercials that played over the stream focusing on different craftsman.

Kinda wish they left the microphone on when Nahm was doing the meet-n-greet.

Here's one of our other video contest finalists.

I'll post some of the other videos on the coming days/weeks as well.
