Festool video contest. Submit your video!

wow . thats a great video/ they really put in the effort on the editing side
i love the slowmo of the blade starting up and the dust coming off the blade

it really shows the need for a solid piece under the material and not too have the blade out too far.

Awesome talent not only in woodworking but in story telling with video on many of these productions!

Yet another one of our finalist videos. We had many submissions that were very well done.

I like them all but something about this one I love... good background music, good explanation of tool and Festool qualities, good storytelling, and not at all overdone.

Great job to all.

Was just perusing through some more of the entries on YouTube and ran across Warner's video:  http://m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_uri=%2F#/watch?v=kMi3VmwLJWw

Must say this one is pretty darn impressive as well.  Looks like you had a pro shoot it - maybe you did?  Shoot, now that I think of it maybe it wasn't even a contest entry and is a professional video by and for Festool?

Whatever the case may be, I like the video.  Nice job.

Yeah, Darcy's video is great. I love the story that many of us can associate with about a legacy of fathers sharing the craft with their sons, and them with their sons.

The video was shot by two folks that we work with on our new videos of accessories and set up how-tos. They did a great job with the videography and Darcy with his story. Definitely one of, if not the best, videos we've done in my opinion.

Here's the next installment from our video contest entry top five. A great video showing some of the advantages of the Domino.

Awesome videos!!  Congrats to all the winners... I enjoyed watching everyone of them.  Good stuff!!

I can't remember if I said it already, but even if I did, a huge thank you to everyone who participated. Our top videos were separated by very thin margins coming down to the final five. There are dozens of other videos that were also very, very well done. Some of those participants may have additional opportunities to work with us on videos in the future. PLUS, we'll be having another video contest later this year, more details coming soon so everyone has a chance to participate.

Also, congrats to our two randomly selected winners, our very own ScotF and Jeremiah R. Here are their videos. Scot did a series of videos on the HL 850 that were all very, very well done. Check his YouTube channel to see the others.

Thanks, Peter! And thanks, Festool for hosting this contest!  It made my weekend when I got the email that I had won!!  I have fun working on these and I also really like watching all of the other entries...I learn something new from each one.

Scot

Spencer Ratliff should not have won this contest....it is obvious he does not appreciate tools from Festool if he mocks them.  I must admit that it was funny. .. but is that missing the point.
What will he do for the next contest, mock the tools he purchased with his Festool bucks?

Jamie, welcome to the forum.

Sorry you don't agree with the selected winner. I don't see it as mocking at all. If you watch his testimonial video I think you'll agree.

Shane

Okay,  I like Spencer's take on the PS 300.  I take back what I said about his entry.  It was rather amusing and informative.... but I am almost 100 percent positive that there was no way he could have sliced through that large log round.  The weed... yes!  But the old growth chunk?!?  Most likely not!

Just a Jealous Loser,
