FestoolRecon.com coming VERY soon (US)

Uh huh. Does it come with the standard 3 year warranty? And has it been cheaper before from the recon site?

I believe the last recon sale open to the public, think 2-3 years ago, the Kapex was offered at 40% off with no state sales tax.  [big grin]

So that discount may make a person think twice, but with the track record of the Kapex motor, the 35% discount and 1 year warranty, it wouldn't make me think of pulling the pin. And then you still have to add state sales tax which means you're only looking at a 28% discount on a saw that has a problematic track record.  [sad]

Gotcha. And yea personally they'd have to price that thing

Suction-Based Clamping Pump VAC-PMP (Festool 201064) up now for $412.  I bought one.
Great price, and I probably would have if there was some way of knowing that there would be an equally good deal on the clamp.

That’s another issue with this recon sale. You don’t know if the ancillary pieces will also come up for sale. The older methodology provided a list of all items available.  [mad]

I'd be in for one as well if I knew I could get a deal on the clamp.

The 574342 part number refers to the complete package which should include: metric router, 1/4", 8mm & 1/2"collets, a chip catcher, dust extraction hood, guide rods, U.S. guide bushing adapter, Plug-It power cord and collet wrench all in a SYS 4.

If anything is missing just contact Festool or give Tyler a PM.

Just so happens that is exactly what it came with.

Picked mine up today at the local UPS. Looks like it is all there. Looked new to me. Oddly enough the thing of all of it that looked the most used was the manual.  [big grin]

Just got an email for the Drywall Sander LHS-E 225 EQ USA.  Interesting that the festoolrecon page says it is “Covered by Festool exclusive 3-year Service All-Inclusive warranty”.

Have any of the other recon tools come with the 3-year warranty?  Maybe this is a typo?

I suspect that is a typo but [member=57769]TylerC[/member] should be able to clear it up for you.

Yes, this is a typo. It's been deleted.

I couldn't even get though checkout without either one of the MFT's being sold out.  Wow.  There must only be a handful of these available.  Obviously not large quantities.  Congrats to those who got them.

Given the various states of condition people have received their recon tools...what would be an acceptable state of the top on a MFT??

I wasn't aware of those issues??  The tools are damaged, etc?  Hmm.  I've been thinking of just unsubscribing from that list anyways.

I clicked on the link in the regular MFT/3 email 6 minutes after I got it.  It was sold out already - anyone catch the price?

IIRC it was 420 or 430 something before sales tax.
