Festools for Schools

I have a good friend that is going to be the new wood shop teacher at a new 9th grade school.  She's already bought some Festools (on my recommendation, of course) and is going to get more because her sales rep is going to discount her Festools for her.

I've never heard of this....... could it be true?

Early last year Festool stopped selling the returned tools to end users. These tools were available at a discount based on the use. Basically, returns from the 30 day money back guarantee. Apparently their was a dealer out there who was selling off demo/ slightly used tools at full retail and pocketing the extra cash.

Festool decided to donate / discount / give tools to schools rather then offer them to end users. I suspect your friend is about to benefit from Festool's generosity.

Personally, I miss the option to buy the Festools at a discount but think Festool is doing the right thing by offering these tools to schools
