Hi I am a new Festool user and have a question for the forum. I wanted to know if anybody have used the Festop (from Wood Werks) with the router lift or the CMS with the router insert. I wanted to add one of them. I am willing to wait for CMS if it is the best choice.
Please let  me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I really like the CMS because it also has inserts for the TS55 saw & the jig saws & a sliding table can be added to it.
The only problem with it is that is is not available in the US at this time.

While I wait patiently for Festool to get a UL approval for CMS I've been building up my old MFT.  I just sold my unisaw so I took my Jessem lift out and intalled it into a MFT "super".  I've not heard what the UL status is reguarding CMS, but clearly that is the holy grail for on site cabinetry plans.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the reference but unfortunately the url dovetailjoint dot com leads to a rock band in Chicago.  My web site is http://jerrywork.com and the router mount between two MFT tables is under the "Tutorials" tab.  Thanks again.

With two MFT3's you might want to check out the between table router setup that Jerry Work has come up with at The Dovetail Joint

Fixed the link....sorry about that.  Jerry's site is a must read for anyone aspiring to take their Festools to the next level.  I am still working my way through the Domino tutorial...It really raises the bar on joinery in my opinion.

Thanks Jerry!

By the way in Europe there is also a CMS version that bolts to the MFT. Has only two legs instead of 4. Don't know if this will make it to the US market though.
