Fill in the blank: I wish Festool made a ______!

I wish festool would build a Bluetooth chip into their tools, similar to this :http://www.thetileapp.com/
So that you could find your tools, or set a reminder on your smart phone for yourself not to
leave home without this or that tool.
A smart phone app could tell you that the tool you wanted isn't in the truck before you leave home or the job site. And aid in finding missing and stolen tools.
The chip could be battery powered and recharge its self every time external power is supplied.
What do you guys think? Would you pay an extra $20 per tool to have that functionality?

The technology is so cheap it wouldn't even have to be an extra 20dollars festool could add it for free.

Another idea was to have stickers with the technology in the sticker so tools which don't have this already built in you can simply stick the sticker onto the tool your self.

in an effort to save you a lot of frustration, stay away from the Makita LS1016. I have had it for years and think i have spent more time adjusting it than cutting with it!  the fence is junk, never flat across and breaks with the slightest kickback    and the bevel detents (especially 0*) are a joke  so many more things i could rant about but no one wants to hear it... just dont buy it

i cant really comment on their LS1216 but it looks like a exact copy so i would imagine that it has a lot of the same problems

Is it really resricted to 3 1/2" cuts?  Even in the 'special' mode where it cuts like a chop saw?

Dont know if I mentioned this before, but I wish festool would design a replaceable sacrificial strip for their MFTs. One that aligns with the cross cut rail and another for lengthwise cutting.

rather then replacing the entire table top, we could just replace the sacrificial strip as needed.

I already made one for cross cutting.

Routed a 2" w by 3/8 deep groove into the mft top. I used a dovetail bit to dovetail the inner edges to prevent movement and attached it with screws ensuring that they are out of the path of the TS 55 blade.

When it gets pretty thrashed, I just make up another out of scrap and install it.  When my tools finally get here, Im going to make one up for length wish to cut the length of the MFT. kinda like a L pattern.

Saves replacing the top all the time.

I know the top is considered replaceable. But at $145 or more bucks a pop. It can add up.

some longer MFT connectors would be nice to.

How about tongue and groove MFT top pieces? Awesome way to build a bench ... 2 metre lengths. C'mon Festool - or anyone with a CNC !

I thought that the MFT's entire surface was meant to cut on. Not just a narrow strip.

i did design ad make one. Easy. When it gets thrashed I unscrew it and make another, to easy.

Wireless charging tools! Like my new Nexus 7 which is the first tablet that can charge wirelessly..
I think wireless charging for power tools is very far down the road but all the same very feasible. I remember when cordless drivers came out years ago and I was astonished! Still have my old "yankee" screwdrivers stored away.
Also read about the development of instant charging which would be amazing if developed.[attachimg=#]

If festool made a sacrificial strip it would cost $135 and UPS/FedEx would see to it that it would arrive at your door broken.

You know I would love a corded drill. I know there is a protool corded drill with the interchangeable chucks, but I'de love to see it come to the US. There is not much of anything I can't do with my T-18 but every now and then I still want the power and kick that you can get from a corded drill. Be nice if it worked with the plugit cords too.

Shouldn't be long now with the orange to green movement going on - hopefully that will mean ex-protools available in the US real soon
