Fill in the blank: I wish Festool made a ______!

Along that line, could they make a transformer/charger shaped like a battery, so it could clip into the tool, and also plug in with a short cord?  I love the portability of cordless tools, but there are times when I'd be willing to give that up for a few hours just so I didn't have to wait for batteries to charge up (I'm remembering installing my deck).  Even with a few batteries, sometimes they just don't charge up fast enough.  So frustrating, especially those times when I'm working within 10 feet of a socket.

You know I would love a corded drill. I know there is a protool corded drill with the interchangeable chucks, but I'de love to see it come to the US. There is not much of anything I can't do with my T-18 but every now and then I still want the power and kick that you can get from a corded drill. Be nice if it worked with the plugit cords too.

Shouldn't be long now with the orange to green movement going on - hopefully that will mean ex-protools available in the US real soon

It would be tremendous to have a Festool dual function router/ track saw (inverted)CMS table and the blade have the Sawstop safety technology.

Also, I would like to see guide rails inter-lock without the need for the connectors...they could overlap and then clip into each other.

How about Festool producing a 23 Gauge pin nailer!  With the kind of work Festool products are superior at, a pin nailer would be a significant "family" product.

So are the Hitachi ones - though admittedly it looks like the current lineup is a rather pale green, going by the pictures.

This is most often in reference to a Festool product. Unfortunately, there are many nooks and crannies in my shop where a tool can be lodged. In some cases, the light levels are very low, and finding one clamp or accessory in a drawer full of them can be difficult.

A visual and audible indication would be desirable.

If a tablet or smartphone is involved, a GPS-like navigator would be nice. A voice recognition interface (like Siri) wouldn't be bad, either.

You'll need an app for finding your tablet or smart phone .... then something to help you find the thing that helps you find ....

Ok, not sure if there is a workaround, but I wish Festool made a hold down clamp for the Kapex that extended just a bit further past the fence.
When I use an auxiliary fence I usually make them out of prefinished 1/2" material and the hold down clamp ALMOST clears it. Almost.

That's a good idea.

Very good idea indeed.  Any auxiliary fence makes the clamps worthless.  While they are at it they should integrate a syslite mount onto the top of the new longer reaching clamp.

This has crossed my mind as well! Just finished doing a trim out where the lighting in my cut area was sub-optimal and kept having to rig up my syslight to make cuts.

Most of us have already have enough padding back there to sit down on top of our systainers!  [blink]

Maybe Festool should get together with Disney and release a sithtainer when episode 7 is released in a few years (2015 supposedly)?

It would have the unique property of turning off any syslites that came too close to it.
