Fill in the blank: I wish Festool made a ______!

Now you've gone and done it ... I want a green Festool light sabre

Seeing the comment earlier about a 'Sitainer' made me think - some job sites do not have lavatories !

How about Festool producing a 23 Gauge pin nailer!  With the kind of work Festool products are superior at, a pin nailer would be a significant "family" product.

In the meantime, I guess I'll be buying a Grex....since it's Green! [big grin]

On a serious note, I wonder how far fetched this actually may be considering Festool's affiliation with Schneider air compressors.  I don't believe they produce guns, just compressors, but they expertise may be there.

Festool already makes some air sanders, but not sure what they would do to improve on a nail gun - would be interesting to see what they might come up with, but consider the reason they haven't come out with a competitor to the MultiMaster (like all the other tool companies are doing)...

Ya that's the crux.  Their philosophy of "we wont make it if we cant improve upon it" is an opportunity lost here IMO.  I think most all of you guys would gobble up a Festool pinner in seconds.

They do make nail guns too. http://www.schneider-airsystems.com/Products/Pages/Product-Competence.aspx?foc=SD-Klammer_Nagelgeraete_8600

A natural for the SYS-MFT would be to package it with a couple of quick clamps, with the normal package discount!    [eek]  I plan on using mine to store my MFT accessories in.  [big grin]

How about a planer thicknesser that you could mount on the CMS with (relatively) lightweight detachable tables that are ultra high precision to avoid the setup problems people often report with these products.

Hi,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

Do you mean the sort of cup shaped one that attaches to the bottom of the base, and is currently black?

Seth

Dust Buster.... I want a cordless Festool dust buster, potentially that we could attach a hose to and put it on the cordless jigsaw as well as use for smaller site cleanup

They really need to make an air compressor.  A nice quiet one that is built into a Systainer 5.  I keep a 1 gallon Craftsman in a Sys5 so it can stack, but I can see at least 2-½ gallons fitting in there if a custom tank was fabricated.  And hookups and gauges on the outside, please!!

A Schneider compressor in a systainer is already available from TTS (owner of Festool/Tanos/Protool/Schneider).

In Holland there is also a non TTS compressor in a Festool systainer.
