Can someone tell me of their experience, that does the CTL Midi (574832) really fit about 5 liters more dust although Mini ( 574840) and Midi use the same dustbag?

Festool website tells that its 7,5 vs 12,5L, but the local dealer says there isn't a difference because they use same dustbags.

Also can someone tell me if 5m antistatic hose will fit onto Mini's hose compartment?

Your dealer is a bit thick in the head.

While he’s correct - they use the same bag, and that bag holds a certain volume; it is constrained by the plastic tub that you put it in. Which means you can’t fill it up to capacity while it’s in the Mini.

The 5m hose will not fit the Mini’s hose garage.  The tapered 3.5m hose barely fits in there.  [crying]

Do you know if the Midi and Mini has same size hose garage?

TLDR:
The only difference between a CTL Mini, CTL Midi and the CTM Midi is the size of the dust bin on the bottom of the vac and the CTM Midi has an air-flow sensor to detect a clogged bag. Everything else is identical. Everything.

As xedos noted, that dealer has no clue and likely has never seen the vacs in person. I would not do business there and look for a dealer that knows a thing or just "go the cheapest etailer" - if you are in the EU. No point giving business to a dealer who provides false advice instead of saying they do not know.

You can check all the differences in eKat - Festool spare parts catalogue.

It is publicly available /unlike other makers which open it only to dealers/.

Go here:
https://www.festoolusa.com/service/repair-service/spare-parts

Then click "To the spare parts catalogue" and browse for your tool.

Note:
It would be great if you can provide your country in your Forum profile. I have included a US link, but given you are referring to "CTL" not "CT" I presume you are not based in US. Festool offers different models in different countries, so it helps when you ask a question to not get a confusing answer.

What the folks above said is correct.

I initially bought the Mini (EU), since the Midi had quite a higher price tag. Referring that to identical vacs, just a difference in the tub. I didn’t get it. However, later I received the handle kit for it, and this is particularly good on these Mini/Midi vacs, it’s collapsible, is has the cord holder and holders for tubes etc. on board.

Later I got the idea of ordering the MIDI tub as a spare.. it comes complete with wheels, brake and clasps. I think my end price for having both ended ever so slightly above the Midi price alone.

The beauty of having the spare tub, is that I can now migrate the top, or the vac it selves over to the Mini tub and have a very low and compact unit to bring with me in the car. The handle kit is mounted on the Midi tub and this stays for home use.
