Fireplace surround

I had a customer who had an older home with a beautiful brick fireplace. She wanted a new look and, thankfully, did not want to paint or damage the current brick just in case someone wanted to have a brick fireplace in the future.  So the surround is just slid over the brick preserving it for the future.View attachment 1[attachimg=1]

what did you make it out of?
certainly better looking than that hideous 70's brick face look.
did you design it yourself or follow a pattern?

I did not get the sides. I will do that when I'm over there dropping off another project later this week. Thanks
