First Festool Fest RI a success

A small success....only 3 people but with Elena, boyfriend and me also present it was about all the shop could handle.

  For me, it was nice to get a chance to hear from real Festool users. That is always a worthwhile endeaver.

    More than "in spirit" because when I demoed the Kapex for crown mlding, I told them about the two of you coming up and making crown molding cutting so easy.

Somebody had to make it look like an official Festool get-together.

BTW.  It was an enjoyable afternoon for all.

Note:  For those who have questioned the comfort of the handle position on the Kapex>>>  My reach is about as minimal above the ankles as any WW'er will be.  My hands are quite small.  My wrists are not as flexible as when I was only 38 (as you can see, I am only 39 now  : ) At times, I can barely raise my right arm above my shoulder.  (My left is better, so I sampled with my right only)
I had no problems reaching all of the triggers and buttons.  No problems with my wrist when reaching up.  (Shoulder hurt a little, but that had been a problem with even hoisting my cold beer  ??? )

I would say that those who have been apprehetious can quit worrying.  The saw was very comfortable for me (Darnit, i was hoping that would not be the result.  how does one get off of this slippery slope  ??? )

Having done a similar event in my shop a few years ago, I KNOW that folks had a good time at John's 'Fest!!!!

Yes it was a party and that a bunch of Festools were present however, what they intentionally left out was what they did with the tools.

What happened to the dog? As it turns out it everyone was curious just how well the Kapex cuts hardwoods. Being out of oak and maple and reluctant to sacrifice some cherry, the decision was made!

Cut up the dog. Apparently the Kapex cuts bone and meat very well.
