Here are a couple of pics from our kitchen remodel.  I gutted the whole kitchen, installed new cabinets, sink, and an engineered wood floor.  Repainted the whole house inside, installed all new faucets and toilets in bolt bathrooms. I managed to get this done in two weeks.

Really sharp, Don!  The only things I'd change for myself are the microwave and oven to all stainless steel like the fridge.  Too much dark/black going on with them.  Those curtains are too wild for me.  [big grin]

Thanks Ken, my wife is decorating the house in an African style.

dbworkshop the remodel was done with all Festools.  In fact I made sure that I reminded my wife of that several times that I would not have been able to do this without Festools and definitely not as well done.

As someone who pecks away at his remodeling for a few hours per weekend, I'm very impressed with your 2 week turn-around.

Wow, nice.

Kinda curious, what order did you do things? I'd like to redo my kitchen to and not sure if I should do the floors first or what.

Thnx

Demo - framing - plumbing and electrical and other things behind the wall - drywall - paint - floor - cabinets.

The floors were last.  First was tear out all the existing cabinets, then I had the ceiling raised up (Drop ceiling that was framed into the main structure).  Painted next.  Installed cabinets.  I had the granite installed after the cabinets and floor was finished.

I was lucky I did not have to do any major plumbing change.  The sink only moved about 10" and I was able to extend the pipe.

Depends ... The type of flooring can make a difference in the order. On new construction, with hardwood floors (we do a lot of hardwood floors in kitchens these days in this area), the floors always go in before the cabinets, but are finished last.  With most other types of floors I paint wall ceilings,  install the cabinets,  paint/finish, then floors, then final touchup.

Basically, you don't want to have to protect expensive flooring while installing cabinets, plumbing/electrical trim out, and finishing/paint.

However, every job is different and things don't always work out like you want:
