I've just finished a couple of small projects using the new tools purchased, this is a practise run for the kitchen. A little history - my project is a few years in the doing between running my business. Had an "American Barn" shell only, built on our 13 acres,  I'm slowly finishing the interior, as we also camp on site. My motivation for getting involved with Festool tools is a love of great engineering 8), the cost of purchasing a kitchen was such that buying the tools and the raw materials saved about 50% of the cost - good reasoning in my book! :o

Material is melamine with PVC edging, the only non festool was the hot air gun to fix the PVC 2mm edging.

The first photo was a small cabinet to hide a pipe in the wall on the left side, that comes up through the floor and into the wall.

Second is the cabinet open, glass you see is part of the walk in shower, I did the tiling and glass - no door you just walk around another piece into the shower

This cabinet was a little more tricky, included the extended top and light as I couldn't find anything I liked to fit over the loo

This is the cabinet open, sliding drawer at bottom, cabinet at top, glass is deep carved with interlocking squares and then blasted all over to create the obscurity, however you can still see the shelves.

I'd like to express my appreciation and thanks to Mirko & Brice for their info on the 32mm system along with the other work they do, their information was certainly one of the reasons I purchased the "system" and finally John from workshopdemos, your site was my final motivation and encouragement to take this on, having never really worked with tools such as I now own, nor completed this sort of work before. I trust you get well soon, but I have to tell you some of your assistants are mighty fine on the eyes ;D Also all the members that contribute to the forum, the information one learns from a forum such as this is priceless :)

The  tools:
55 saw
1010 router
small trimmer
domino
32mm drilling system
MFT1020
small and large guide rails (with holes)
the mini vac

Phill, nice work. Simple lines, very clean look, I like it. The extended top light is my favorite part, how did you attach the glass to the stiles?

Hi Brice

I clamped the stiles to the side of the 1080 and using the measuring arms of the LR 32 system set the guiderail for the router to cut a 5mm wide 10mm deep channel, I used 5mm glass so its a tight fit and placed about 3 small blobs of silicon on the channel and then eased the glass in with the help of a block and hammer, being in the glass industry I've learnt that glass always bends just before it breaks ;D

Thanks for your great posts & website, the info I've gathered from yourself and others has been most helpful.

cheers

Hi,

Sharp looking cabinet, looks like you have a good eye for creative design.

Seth

Thanks Seth,

Drew it up in sketchup to work out the measurements and looks, and transfered the panel sizes into cutlist plus, worked out the colour scheme by seeing what I had available in that program, two very nice pieces of software

cheers
