Interesting comparison of the Milwaukee track saw against Festool and Makita by a new YouTube English fella.

He points out 3-4 flaws of Big Red. He was willing to tolerate those niggles.

However, the final flaw was a stopper.

I’ve not seen the USA guys identify those problem areas. This is why I like perspectives from the various continents.

The comments might have identified a Toe-Out problem. As Spencer Lewis showed, one can easily adjust the baseplate.

However, he sold it, according to his comment. We won’t know if a Toe fix would have solved it.

I had exactly the same problem with the Milwaukee 6.5 inch battery powered saw. (Not the track saw). I had been making long cuts for years using a straight edge only, with good results, using a different saw. The blade deflection was a deal breaker and the saw was returned. To add insult to injury, both Milwaukee and the local dealer blamed me by telling me that I did not know how to set up the saw.

I have the Milwaukee track saw. Since I bought a new TSC55, my Milwaukee hasn't been used at all. I could never really find a valid reason why I didn't like the Milwaukee. I do think the Festool is more "refined" and pleasant to use.
