So we're still going through a Customer Service / Warranty claim with Lumber Liquidators - where the original product was 1/2" Solid Strand Bamboo (Morning Glory Honey Distressed Hand Scraped 5 1/2" Planks) - it failed in several ways.
One of the main failures was that the product failed to cure properly. It was over-saturated with their waxy finish and it didn't solidify 100%
Our new flooring arrived today. Based on the warranty/exchange, it is regrettably the same product. We were able to negotiate a different finish, but had to stick with the same product for several reasons. I went to open a few of the boxes to do a general inspection and found several concerning elements.
1. Color was way off - well beyond a "natural" amount. I understand that samples in the stores can be faded and/or worn... and will almost always appear different than the finish product. But this "variation" is strikingly orange-ish, and not in a pleasant way.
2. The boards that I have sampled from 15-20 different cartons are all greasy. Not actual grease, but very slick and feels similar to paste wax on your hands. I'm confident that if I took a rag, I could visibly collect the compound after several swipes. This was similar to our original flooring, but this second batch is arguably worse, which has me concerned that we'll have the same product failure.
Given the situation, what would you guys do? My wife and I are exhausted and tired of dealing with LL and their BS. Certainly never giving them any further business after this nonsense.
Any input is greatly appreciated. And as always, thank you.
