Hey Folks,
I have a big laminate flooring job coming up (in my own house).  I was wondering if any of you have used blade (Item # 489457) for cutting flooring.  I will use it on my ATF 55 and with my MFT to cut pieces to length.  I have a table saw to rip any piece to width.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I guess no one here has used the laminate flooring blade by Festool!

Sure it's great? What are your other options for blade selection, price, etc? It's a mineral cutting blade right?

Eli,
I was just looking on the Festool site checking out blades and knew they did a lot of flooring in Europe so I figured they had a blade made just for cutting laminate flooring.  Sure enought they do, but it cost $60.  A little high for a blade I'll use for one job.  I have a chop saw, but just looking at the Festool ops.  Since I have the ATF 55 and MFT I just thought I could use them.  Also I didn't want to ruin the blade in my saw if there was something better.

Hope all this makes sense.

Rusty,

I've used that blade to cut melamine.  It does cut melamine cleaner than the standard blade (491952) that came with my TS55.  I used it last night to cut a formica countertop w/ no chipping.
