I'm working on a series of fly fishing-themed furniture pieces. Here's the latest. The basic design is my own and one I've built many times with different wood and finishing combinations. I used walnut and beech with Maloof joints on this version. The image on the backrest is of the Frying Pan River located near Aspen, CO. I created the artwork on my laptop and then carved it out on my CNC. I enjoy incorporating the CNC engraved images onto high quality furniture built with more "traditional" methods.
Titebond was used on the seat and backrest boards, epoxy on everything else. I added black dye to the epoxy in an effort to better hide the multiple glue lines on the curved legs:

Fun project made more enjoyable by the Domino, OF1400 and Festool sanders.
