FOG Caps

Jack,

You are welcome.  Suckie weather at the beginning of last week plus my schedule lead to the delay.  No excuses.

Peter

Peter,

No problem, I appreciate all your good work and I've read about your new job.  Hope all is going well with the "fish support project".

jack,

Your cap is now as of today in the hands of the US Postal service.  Thanks for your patience!

Peter

My condolences.   [big grin]

I have to admit that other than some tracking issues when I dropped 60 plus packages on them at a day they have been good.  No Fogtainer delivery issues, no Foghat isues to date.  Cheaper for the guys, cool.

Peter

Peter,

You've done a great job with this.

I did hear from one hat owner...he was not sure how to hook up DC to the hat.... [doh]

Cheers,
Steve.

Crevice tool to the ear.  Low suction.  The caps are a semi relaxed fit, they should only deflate a little and become form fitting.  Increases the dust collection.

JUST KIDDING.  DO NOT TRY THIS!

Peter,

Thanks and great job, my hat just arrived while I was cutting some joints with my Domino Joiner, I stopped opened the box and am now wearing my FOG hat to go along with my sometimes FOG Brain!

Jack

Wow!  That was fast.  Delivered to the post office in Virginia on Monday morning and then setting on top of someone's head in California on Wednesday afternoon.  For less cost than buying a box and sending it parcel post (5 to 6 days).

Jack,  hope you hit a hole in one with that on!

Peter

Peter, I'd settle for the Club Championship again and I'll be wearing my FOG hat.  A few years ago ear I wore my Festool Supplier's hat the "Japan Woodworker"  and now my Facebook Page picture is me from that event.  If I win it again, I post it on the FOG!  Of course, that might be as rare as a hole in one  [big grin]

If you missed out, the last 10 go on sale Sunday.

I bet you're thinking you should have ordered more caps eh? Guess that's the dilemma of every product supplier -> how big a stock to order to place?

Peter,

What fast service!!  I put the check in the mail yesterday morning and guess what was waiting at my door that afternoon.

They look great.

Thanks,
Daniel

To honestly answer your question, no.  There is always a sweet spot somewhere, but when you get to the items that require ordering in quantities of dozens, then the multiples can add up fast.  I would personally much rather run out and create demand for the next item.

When I placed the order there was a huge percentage of over production and that supply slowly got absorbed by members who had been lurking once others here commented on the quality of what they received for their dollar.

Costs were covered, goodwill was spread, and surprise, surprise - there are some residing in Lebanon, Indiana for use as future prizes.  PS - there is also a Fogtainer there for that purpose.  Who knows, maybe somewhere in the future there will be a really great prize for a really great contest which would be a Fogtainer with some of the limited edition FOG stuff in it?

This was a fun ride.  There will be others I am sure.

For sure. For next year, there will be the 2012 edition. And I'm sure, you're investigating the T-Shirt line. Me? I'm waiting for the .45 Festool logo emblazed firearm. (with superior dust collection abilities of course)  8)

Yabbut, Peter is just finishing up dealing with the caps stitched "2011 edition". Logically, the next ones would be labelled with 2012 somewhere. Seeing as how successful the first edition was, I'd expect Peter might start marketing the 2012 editions a little bit earlier in the year.

I was standing there minding my own business when all of a sudden the US Postal Service pixies show up with a package for me...
Peter thankyou so much for all you have done and sorry I couldn't get anyone better to model the cap for you all!!
