[size=12pt][size=12pt]Well we had some down time at the shop and i decided it was time to update and organize our install truck! There were lots of good ideas on this forum and I spent a good bit of time checking out some of the organization solutions found here.  I ended up buying 4 sortainers.  (2 new and 2 on ebay...and one of them was kinda accidental!! [unsure])  I also ordered a couple empty systainers.  Below is the finished product (at least for now [wink]).

Thanks!  Several years ago we purchased pouches like this at the IWF tool show.  They were a promotional item and since then have been discontinued.  A couple weeks ago i called Snappy and requested a couple more (The ones in the photo).....After a little hesitation they agreed to make these up for me.  (They normally sell to distributors)  I then purchased all the driver bits at craftsman/sears.  http://www.snappytools.com/

Amazing how much can go into a Sortainer or Systainer isn't it? 

I have that same Craftsman multi level tool tote/box. It was a primary  one for me until I went Systainer nuts.  I always found it to be a pretty good one. I still like it and use it for some general carpentry and painting stuff.  It's not part of my work  kit anymore because  it doesn't fit the rest of my system.

I'm not certain as i don't have it in front of me.  I believe they called it their "large pouch".  You could also reference the pouch they used for their trade show specials.

Here are some specs of the Snappy Tool Holders (info from Miles TMC):
TH/4-22 pieces at £9.53
TH/1-30 pieces at £9.53
TH/2-60pieces at £11.91
I also think they are quite handy for a variety of Festool Centrotec pieces when you are on a job site instead of carrying a Centrotec systainer with you.

Its a 6500 Chevy box truck.  18' bed.  The bed is lower than most on box trucks and it also has an innovative set of steps that are folded flat, but pull out and self level to whatever surface you're on.  We were hesitant to go to a truck after using a trailer with a ramp for years, but we wanted a moble shop and this has worked great.  We still have the trailer and use it for large jobs.

Yeah we used them for years, before this latest foray into systainers  [smile]  That shelf with the six systainers was dedicated for 4 of those totes.  I easily fit everything from 3 of them into 3 systainers (pruning accumulated junk and phasing out some dewalt stuff in the process)  The tools and hardware are so much more accessable now!  The lone tote in the picture is for grommits, leg leveler clips and misc.

You can't be too careful that's for sure.  That is a cool video of the truck!  Fastcap is also a great company...I really like Paul's book "2 Second Lean"

I like Paul's personality and I've never even met him.  Total Sales Guy.  Can't fault the guys drive. I'm sure he makes bank.

Well a local company called Devers installs them.  http://jwdeverstruckequipment.com/  I think it is a custom design with them.  We bought the truck a few years old, so not sure what the cost was.  When i got the truck serviced awhile back they commented the stairs are pretty rare because they are so exspensive to put it.  Here are some pictures.
