I have used the LR32 set a few times in the past on single cabinets and small built ins. Today was the first time i used it for any production work. Using the parallel guides was a huge time saver. Thanks for the demonstration video Brice! In my opinion any other way and the LR 32 is just too slow for production work. I also picked up some good tips from erock's videos, helped my understand a few things about 32mm construction i was missing.

This project is my own kitchen. Due to time constraints and lack of shop space i hired a cabinet maker to do the casework. i had some time today so i helped out. This guy is great and i have used him as a sub many times in the past. No Festool in this guys shop!. I backed up to the loading dock today with a van full of Festool and started helping.

Nether one of us wanted to jump it to full 32mm construction so this is very much a hybrid approach. Mostly his techniques mixed with a few of mine, probably much to his displeasure [tongue]. I think he was pretty skeptical about the merits of the LR 32 but was still intrigued. This will also be my first time using Fastedge. As you can see in the photo there is no edge banding yet. I wanted to band everything first but he insisted we do it after assembly. I did account for the thickness of the edging  in my LR layout. I am sure it will come out great either way.

Is your cabinet guy a festool believer now??  what did he think about the LR32?

i like the idea of using the parallel guides with the LR32, i was too cheap to pony up the $130 for the LR32 Edge guides.. i dont have the parallel guides yet either but was thinking of getting the Seneca guides instead  would these also work with the LR32 plate without having to remove them before boring holes?

if you dont mind, post  your thoughts on using Fastedge, thats something i have been wanting to try out

keep the pictures coming!

I just used Fastedge yesterday for the first time on a small project, absolutely love it! So much easier then the iron on edging.

I picked up the complement of tools from Fastcap to do the install and followed some advice on FOG to roll after each step. It went on perfect and fast.

Thanks.  Gonna have to pick some up next time I'm doing some edge banding
