FOGtainers - 18 months later

While cleaning up files on my computer over the weekend due to lack of hard disk space, and reminded by MacGyver's (my own Fog Dog) 2 year anniversary of coming home with me, I came across a whole bunch of images from the project and was wondering (HMMMM....)

After 18 to 24 months of use in very different climates and working conditions all over the world, how is the printing or labeling holding up?

Hey Peter, The stickers on mine are still A ok, just like the day I got them. also its harder to see scuff marks on the dark blue compaired to the grey systainers.
 
Peter  My collection of FOG Tainers are doing real well, my labels are good for sure, heck better than the ones on my classics's and they are real tough to getdirty like my greys. All of mine are the silkscreen label version and they are holding up just fine.

Several of mine are on job sites daily getting banged around. The screen printing looks like the day they came in the mail. I couldn't be happier.

Peter - how about reviving those again with a new round of orders?  I'd definitely buy 1 or 2.  - Brian

After the FOGtainers were all shipped, it was asked here about other FOG stuff and many comments were made about not doing the same item too soon.  I have to agree.  If I am going to donate my time to come up with something special, and bring it thru the various steps to fruition, I would much rather see a variety of items over time that could appeal to different members or become part of a collection for true collectors.  But I refuse to do cheap quality or junk.

That being said, I am working in the background on some cool stuff.  Whereas my FOGtainer with the melted bottom sits protected in my office, I was looking to see how Phoenix heat, jobsite use and abuse, Scotland moisture, etc. affected the printing and labels.

That is all I am comfortable sharing right now.

Mine are all in A1 condition, but then they almost never get taken out of the workshop. I've still got the spare labels you sent me too, still waiting to go on my blue mini-systainer.....

Mine are still loaded with boxes of Spax screws, fogtainers have been dropped, used as steps, stools, been left out in sun for days and even survived soaking rains!
They are still looking sharp as new, decals are in mint condition!

aaaaa  if we are are not just talking about the labels and prints  then I do have one thing to say! 

I have always stood on ALL my boxes at one point! BUT unfortunately  ONE of my Fogtainers when I put my foot on it the lid split in the middle  [crying]  you cant see it once you got the crack flush but if you just push on it with your finger you can see a 3 inch split

but like I said the labels AND prints on my fogtainers are doing good.  I was always a bit unsure with the labels.

 
My fogtainer is used for holding screws.  It gets dragged in and out of my truck everyday.  Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Why would you stand on a rare Fogtainer?  I bet you swat bugs with your Foghat.  [tongue]
