You’ve demanded it – it is coming FOGwear!

On September 3 I spoke with Mr. C about a couple of ideas and was given the green light to go on one and investigate and report to him directly on the other.

FOGwear is a go!

Unfortunately on September 4 I was smacked in the face with something that in all honesty rocked me and my inner being like nothing prior.  This might help to explain my quietness here.  I have bad news:

I’m baaaaaaaaack…..

Remember the contest to guess the new owner of FOGtainer 1?  There were several winners there as well as others in the entire FOGtainer series of threads.

Those winners will receive samples of FOGwear to test and then comment on.  Both Festool and also the FOG are all about quality, so this will not be a quick endeavor.

But I wanted to let you know that your suggestions have not fallen on deaf ears.

MacGyver and I want to hear ideas about what you might possibly see as FOG labeled apparel.

Thanks in advance for your participation and patience.

Peter

EDIT:  european members will be eligible!

GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK, AMIGO.

I would love a shop apron. One size fits all.

Light colored t-shirts and/or crew neck sweatshirts. [thumbs up]

PS Hope all is well with you now.

Guys:

Keep those ideas coming.  Not all will be possible.  I already have ideas for multiple shirts and also kid's shirts - FUTURE FOGGERS!

Regarding the other stuff - I have made some genuine friends here and when things were the lowest, those friends helped me emotionally more than I can tell.  Those guys know who they are.

Keep the ideas coming.  I will need to get a bunch of blue boxes out of my living room first, but then....

Peter

Peter glad you are doing better.

Sounds like you are on your way with another great project.

I would like to have some polo style shirts.

Chris,

Your desire is already on the list.

The FOG is on its way towards another GREAT project.  You guys and gals are what makes this possible!

Peter

Hi Peter.

My first thought was a canvas FOG apron similar to this one by Lee Valley:

[attachthumb=#1]

but that has already been suggested.

There is another FOG clothing item that I would buy and that is a good set of work gloves similar to:

[attachthumb=#2]

with the FOG logo on the back.

T shirts a must but would like fleece tops or sweatshirts also, its cold where i am  [smile]

Woodguy

I live in a more civilised place than Woodguy, but like the sweatshirt/hoody idea.

Would also like teeshirts, and of course Shane's new creation would be awesome.

Glad you've found your mojo again Peter, it's been too quiet and sane around here recently!  [poke]

Visors, definitely Visors.  They're particularly popular down here in the South.  Too darn hot for a hat in the Summer.

Good to have you back, and good to hear all is well.
Jon

How about a frying-pan-proof hard hat to wear when the tool deliveries arrive?  [scared]

The better way of dealing with that is to give the resident comely wench a $100 gift certificate to her favorite spendery, and time the gift to take place just before the Big Brown Truck arrives.  That will give you time to dispose of the plain brown wrappers (evidence) before she returns.

Welcome back to the land of the living Peter!  We missed you.

+1 on the Duluth long t-shirts.  Having met me in person, you can imagine how scary my plumber's butt would be. [eek]

Jess, don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure you have a lovely butt.  I pray to God never to see it, but I'm sure it's charming.

Peter, what about a bandana, just so Honeydokreg can upgrade from the stars and stripes..?

Peter,

I would beg you that you make available some big & tall options when you settle on what FOGwesr will be made available.  It took a long time for retailers to catch on that the population is getting larger before they started B & T departments and dedicated stores.

It seems that a lot of the workwear manufacturers have not caught on and even if they have, retailers seem reluctant to stock the lines.  I often hear things like, "We can special order it for you, we need payment upfront and no returns".

Sure the internet has opened up previously unavailable options but if it does not fit it is not only inconvenient, but in some cases, there is a rather substantial restocking charge.

Thanks for your ear.

Neill

Rick,

I'm not sure Nottingham counts as 'civilised', does it? [poke]

Newark, Jonny my boy, much more refined...  [wink]
