I like the new look generally,But.

The size of the font for the subject title needs to be bigger than the members name.

I find myself looking at the name of the member,  before looking at the subject title.

The subject title is more important In my opinion.

Also I mainly read on an iPad, this might not be such a problem on a computer.

Adjusted slightly. The subject is barely larger than the member name. Lightened the member name as well.

I agree.  And please have all the Apple IOS 7 wannabe designers watch Logan's Run all the way to the end.

Our society doesn't kill everyone when they turn 30.

How about hiring some people over 45, who don't focus as well on excessively small fonts or tune in as well to slightly different shades of grey font color with very low contrast with extra bright backgrounds?

I have to agree with the OP.

Titles need to be noticeably larger than the posters' name. I do not know the background of the person(s) who did the redesign but a graphic designer with a knowledge of typography and readability should be consulted.

I do love this forum but it is very difficult to scroll through the listings now.

Jim

There are lots of parameters to be set and adjusted. Many of these things had been tuned to the way the forum looked before from its original software appearance.  I am sure it will get there again albeit with a different overall look. It may take a while to track down all the tweaks that are needed. Keep posting the items you find so that Shane can get things all fine tuned.

Guys, I had made a change to the formatting of the title font size/color but didn't realize that it only affected the unread posts page. I have now adjusted the board pages as well. The font should now be larger, dark black, and overall easier to read. I also increased the other font sizes for the post info, like poster, time of post, etc.

Hope that helps.

Again, remember this started out as a template that has to be customized. Please continue to give any feedback and I'll do my best to make adjustments.

Shane

Going great. The new design is really looking nice. Now if we could only get rid of the relative time stamps on posts (ie "55 minutes ago", An hour ago") and get the absolute time, that would be great also.
