Hi everyone.  I am looking at picking up a CMS 55 module while in the UK early next month.  I am going to purchase one and send to my work mate and was wondering if this is a reputable dealer and a good price.  http://www.powertool-supplies.co.uk/festool-module-mounting-cms-ts-55.html

I was also wondering if there is another more stripped down module?  I don't need another protractor and fence...  [big grin]

If anyone over there knows a better price on it, would be glad to hear it!!  I know this is not supported in the US and hope to see the red text disclaimer shortly...  [tongue]

Yes, these guys are superb to deal with and their prices are excellent. Make sure you specify whether you want the 55 or 55R module as they are slightly different.

They have a payment system through a third party processor so don't be alarmed by being taken to another website for payment. I ended up confirming it over the phone as far as I can remember or something like that.

The domino tenon assortment is also excellent value in the UK fyi.

They are members here on the fog.. there have been many posts about good service.

Thanks guys!  My workmate is the opposite of a tool nut.  I was talking to him last week about my CMS and Incra table and he raised his left hand... i knew what was coming next ;)

I can also attest to their good prices and service. I've dealt with Simon and Matt, and had great service from both.

Well now Im gonna empty yer bank account, look at getting the side extension and the CS 50 Fence (stopper) with a micro adjust and they have a blade holder that  attaches to the CMSs legs.

hehehehehe you wont get out of here unscathed.

Hi Jobsworth,

I think you just changed your own post. But it still mentioned the CS 70 saw/parts.
Because you cannot use any CS 70 part on a CMS-GE table.
Only the CS 50 parts are the same because the tables are the same.

I definitely like the blade holder... it is on my list as well  [smile]

I am posting a pic of my setup (showing router insert obviously at the moment) but it uses the incra fence with my MFT/CMS-VL setup.  Works really well and will give me a lot of room to play with other boards and the saw insert.

thanks for the confidence builder on the Festool Vendor... cheers!

Awesome shop, I deal with Charlie, but they're all good guys. Luckily they are only 20 miles  away from me so I collect. Brilliant service so far.

I didnt catch that last night when I edited it. I linked the CS 50 and wrote the CS 70. Should of caught that.

So the links for the parts were good,

Nice but to get enough table width you'll need the side extension or have a MFT to set up next to it (another support will do)

I like the CS 50 fence as it will mount to my MFT 3 as well.

Though this CMS in this photo isnt mine. It is my set up. This is what Im talking about.

Another satisfied customer here, I recently bought the sys mft and cxs set off them and had great service.

Tell me joiner,

what do you plan to use the Sys MFT for?

I am getting a Sys 2 to put the mft lid on. Store my kreg jig in it.

The sys 1 is to small for me to  effectively use it.

I can also attest to Power Tool Supplies' reputation.

Their physical shop isn't huge, but it's packed with nice stuff and has the best selection of Wera screwdrivers I've ever seen.

I use it all the time on site for cutting stuff on etc, I've also got the systand too ,generously sent to me by Bror a member here. Both are great for sawing on and clamping to.

Hi, I'm a new member and I just wanted to check something with you guys first. Forgive me, if I'm mistaken, but I don't think the CS50 Stopper will fit the MFT/3 or CMS-VL, you will need the CS70 version. Also the saw blade holder may not fit on the VL either, as there is only one leg and no crossbar to attach it to.

Regards, Alan
