What in the name of something is up with your avatar?

I was under the impression these were Stabilas.

"Someone" needs to report that animal abuse to the SPCA!!!!!

That's Sadie the Easter Boxer, of course.  [blink]  What?

I'm not sure what the warranty is on the levels, it would be nice if someone in Europe could check with their Festool dealer and report back. I don't have any information about these other than what's on the German website.

My dealer has said they are made by Stabila and then rebadged Festool.

The prices in the UK are as follows

350mm                          £37-62                ($61-28)        [scared]

800mm (in bag)             £86-10                ($140-85)       [eek]

800mm Digital (in bag)  £222-54               ($362-32)       [scared] [eek] [eek]

1400mm (in bag)          £134-52                ($219-10)        [jawdrop]

Will stick with my Stabila's I think!!

They are stabilas and are covered by stabilas warranty.

As long as you don't pry up form work with them they will last
A lifetime.

... waiting for someone to find the exact same ones with a different brand painted on it for 10x less money ...

;D

Okay I guess I'm the one that will have to ask, are we going to get this set in the US?

And I love the avatar Shane! [thumbs up]

Those are all close, but they do not have the features such as the continuous edges, the measurements scales on the long edges, the lighted vial(s).  Made by Stabila to specifications by Festool like what we had last year I guess.

Peter

there are so many like them i think it is the 196 e that has the lit up dials. i prefer the stabila levels myself because they are what i class as standard size levels

Make sure you buy plenty of batteries for these.  I know I have a tendency to accidentally leave one on overnight...love the lights though.

I like your avatar too, Brice.  [wink] No immediate plans to offer them. After all, we have had a Festool - Stabila level here in the US for a while now.

I bought one of the Festool levels for a friend recently as a Thank you. I wouldn't buy it for myself, too much money. However, I would by a 6' or 8' digital for the high price. Would come in very handy for litigation work. It would be nice if Festool did a promo like Stabila does. Buy the 4' and get a torpedo or the Jamber set. That I would go for. The extra features on the Festool are very nice.

Counselor Holzhacker, back in my former life during which I often represented my studio in US Federal court, a 1400mm or better a 3000mm level would have been a marvelous communication implement for opposing counsel, reluctant witnesses and any of several judges!

These days having a digital 2440mm installation level in addition to my 1220mm level and laser leveling/measuring equipment would be marvelous. Possibly I do not absolutely need such a long level, but I work very hard and I feel I deserve one!

I stipulate I will not use such a level to communicate with an opposing counsel!

Shipping should start May 17. in Germany, at least that's what Festool told me. Because of the opening of a new Festool Test Center locally, they will probably have the levels in display on May 5.

Funny how many already sell the levels online, without mentioning that you'll have to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery.

I had a little sneak peak at the construction site today and was quite impressed how well the new Test Center and displays are designed. I don't know who's responsible for the marketing and corporate identity, but it's far ahead of the competition. Also the new catalogue's design has been improved further.
