Forum Spellchecker

I have long had intentions of asking if the spellchecker used for posting threads is customisable.  The reason is one would think that the words "Festool" and "Kapex" and "Rotex" and, you get the idea, would be added to the spellchecker's custom dictionary.  :

In posting this thread in fact, I was presented with three possibly misspelled words. 

Just a thought...

The explanation I got from Matthew was that he was aware of this issue but the software is not smart enough and it cannot be modified to think that these common words are not misspelled.  Only new software would fix the problem.

Shane,

Johnny Carson used to tell this story about how if he did not know how to spell a word his teacher would tell him to look it up in the dictionary.  His reply was "How can I look it up in the dictionary if I do not know how to spell it"?

Now, if we could just get more members to avail themselves of this improved spell checking feature...

Good job in adding those German words to our vocabulary.

Shane,  Add the word "Hilti" to the list.  It's not German but it's close..
