Two truck loads (here is the first). One-third was red oak and the other two-thirds was cedar. Beautiful stuff. Aged 10+ years. Bought all they had for cheap.

Some of the boards were 14' long and 15" wide. I calculated what I paid per bf when I got back, and it was $0.60 each.

The gentleman died 10 years ago. Before that, he had a portable sawmill that he took around to people's properties and processed their lumber. His wife died just a month ago, but she had just let the wood sit for all those years, drying in a roof-covered shed. It was so dry that it was actually light to carry.

I had a similar situation a couple years ago.  Mine was white oak and cherry that had been air drying in neat stacks in a barn for over 30 years.  I did however pay almost twice what you paid per board foot.  The downside is that it does create a serious honey do list that still hasn't been satisfied.  The complete redo of our kitchen is still underway.
