freebies.........

I remember reading once that Bob threw is Pasta when asked for a freebie.

We try to hats or shirts if we have them in stock.

We always give away free thank you's and try our best for good advice

Every Festool purchase I've made from Beaver Tools (online) over $1,000, and they throw in a blue Festool tee-shirt.  I think I have 3 or so. Now I've started buying from the dealers on the FOG, no new tee-shirts though.  :)

My comment was not meant meant or to spark the dealer into action.  But boy oh boy did it ever!  A very generous and much appreciated gift arrived today from the dealer with an apology for an oversight.  Sweet! More blue clothes!

I know shirts, freebies, etc. cost pennies compared to the tools we buy, but it is mysteriously wonderful to get those little "thank you's" when you throw down the franklins on the tools.

Thanks! [thumbs up]

~$1800 CDN festool order including taxes - got a hose garage and a festool T shirt from the dealer.

I called the local Festool HQ a couple of years ago and asked if they had any free t-shirts and the next day I received two! One blue and one in a light gray color with pictures of tools on it. Maybe I should have asked for tools as well.  [wink]

Always the optimist.    [big grin]

On Edit:  I guess I should note that the above comment was in response to Kristian's prior post.  Only later did I notice another meaning ...    [big grin]  (Size X or XL)

I buy everything from my local dealer

When i bought the TS55 i got free 1 x 1400 rail, 1 x 800, 1 spare blade & a rail bag.
When i bought the Kapex i got 2 blades free
When i bought the Rotex i got a systainer with 100 sanding discs free
The EHL 850 planer i got the moulding head free
The Deltex sander i got about 3 boxes sandpaper free
The Domino i got for £400 & i got the full Domino ststainer also + cutters
+ many more.

I think the key is to be a regular customer.  They have a new rep now & i dont seem to get any Festool goodies, i dont think he is as good at getting them of the Festool guy.

So the answer is yes, you can get freebies  [smile]

Corwin, your 'X or XL' comment in your last post gave me an idea. Maybe we should update our signatures in the forum with clothes sizes and personal tool preferences just in case one of the online dealers goes on a freebie hand-out spree!  [big grin]

Yup, always the optimist...  [wink]

Rex Crystals Sent me this jacket!  He said he was getting some new jackets in a few months and said he will send me one for free.  Just before Christmas I received the jacket.  I see it as a Christmas Gift! As I didnt buy any tools of me to receive it! He sent me another 1 the other day but I did buy somethings this time.  If you look at his website you have to spend over £500+vat to receive one of these jackets for free jacket.   They are nice jackets though! I have only been wearing a T-shirt and a jacket in this cold weather as it keeps you proper warm.  Its only very thin so it does not restrict you movement at all unlike larger thicker jackets they do and I hate wearing plus when a jacket is longer it goes over your tool belt and its a pain to get to your tools then.   Its a fully water resistant/proof jacket but its also makes you sweat if you get to hot as it does not breath but this also keeps you warmer though.  I like them and ill make sure Rexy sends me one every possible opportunity.

I was wondering if anyone would notice that.  [wink]  And I like your idea.  Thanks!

I am an X-large to the dealers that know I will come a calling when the T-locs are in stock, the RO90, and maybe even a RAS115 too.  ;D
