For Christmas my son bought my wife this clock kit with French bulldogs as hour markers. You were supposed to stick them on the wall but I wanted it removable. I bought a 2'x2' piece of 1/2" acrylic (1/4" probably would have done fine), radiused the corners, and sanded/polished the edges. Then I bought some SS standoffs to hang it. My wife loves it. I wish the hands were a little longer. Sort of false advertisement, kit says you can make a 27" diameter clock with it. Guess in reality you could make a clock with infinite diameter [big grin].

My 8 year old granddaughter said right away one of the dogs is bum shuffling (she learned it on a Bluey cartoon).

Not what I was expecting, but cool anyway.
Funny thing is, I'm not sure what I expected, but French Bulldogs was not it.
I agree, the hands are a little small. I don't know how they figure it would work with a 27" clock.
To be fair, 27" is pretty big for a clock.

I'm very afraid to ask about "bum shuffling". Is that the carpet scraping thing? [blink]

Ha - guess that was a teaser title.

They actually make a 47" kit!

Yeah - the carpet thing (look at 7 o'clock)

The “bum shuffling” is actually a symptom of a medical condition.  The anal glands are impacted.

The old fashioned, quick and efficient method is for the vet to “milk” the glands.  It is unpleasant because of the odors involved.  But it provides instant relief for the dog.

The modern, slow and more expensive method is by the use of drugs.

If your dog does the bum dragging bit, he is uncomfortable and it should be addressed.  My preference is to ask the vet if he is able to drain the anal glad manually.  If you do that, your dog will thank you.

It appears that there is an entire cottage industry on Etsy making “Frenchie Clocks”.

I like the giant wall clock:
