Fridge built in, Question about 4x8 plywood vaneer sheets

Hi,

I've been wanting to complete this project for sometime now, I just don't know what Grade of 4x8 plywood sheets with a maple veneer kitchen builders often use. I also still have my 30x15 upper cabinet I need to modify for more depth, it's time
I finally start it. [wink]

I was Quoted over $100.00 for one Grade A sheet years ago.

I hope to post some pictures today showing the cabinet colour & the filer strip I have as i don't know if its maple or not, my next topic will be about staining as lost in the subject [eek]

I was sold a Hybrid stain, but read you must apply a sealer to maple before staining anything.

A-1 is the most common....Classic Core is usually a lot high quality sheet than veneer core. On West Coast one sheet is about $70

 

[Cheese]

A sealer is typically used first on maple, birch & pine to prevent the stain from becoming blotchy.
