Hello colleagues!

I continue to try develop this very cool systainers idea and try to adapt it for my garage needs.
This time I find that not convenient to take tool out of systainer which is staying in column with others. in this case need to remove upper boxes. I tried to solve this problem using this trial example of wooden systainer for my Festool TS-55 handsaw.

Of course exist sys-ports and they are very cool, but sometimes when you are on the job site you can avoid necessity to disassemble whole column of boxes to take out one tool if such principle could be used.

Let's watch what I've got and express your opinion about this idea.

More useful front opening Systainers have been discussed in the past, but I think yours is the first someone's actually done.

Really? Ok. Of course it is not always would be good but I see it could really be convenient in this my case with TS-55

I'm really waiting for the drill press in a systainer ... that'll be worth the wait [wink] [big grin]

I think your videos and the things you make are great, I love watching them. Very clever stuff and great ideas.
I also think your English is better than lots of people that have lived in England all their lives.
Nice one...

Very creative idea!  I really enjoy seeing your posts and can't wait to see what you come up with next.  Keep up the great work!

Brilliant.  Your posts are a must read for me.

Initially, thought the space on the left hand side was for spare blades;
which is the way I would go - then, 'any which way' -  just chuck the mains lead in.
(Though not sure you would like the resultant lack of 'tidyness.' [unsure] )

The attention to detail is impressive; even the colour and quality of the "mirock" logo...

These are just getting better all the time.
You'll end up getting work from a manufacturer if you keep it up.

Yes, Mirock has great "Tanosity" [wink] [big grin]

This is an amazing execution of a solution to a fairly common occurrence at my shop!  Great work! If I made a couple of these for my different sanders I would be just use the best tool for the job. I'm so easily persuaded to just use what is most accessible on the stack, instead of actually using the one I need to that might be second from the bottom. [embarassed]

One friend suggest me to make combined version with both types of opening principle: standard upper and front sided one. It is possible and not so difficult. What do you think about that?

I don't like the fact it is front heavy and can tip when the front is slid out, if the Systainer isn't part of a stack to balance it. If you made one with both options on could slide it when part of a stack and open from the top when standalone.

I can see how this works if the systainer is in a stack all the time, but for mobil use, doesn't it get heavy like this? With the wood and slides it seems like quite a bit more weight than plastic.
