hi,
I have a FSK 250 which is fairly accurate, but the FSK 420 is off quite a bit.
I'd say between the two stops it is off by 1/32".

how accurate is everyone else?

also does Festool warranty the guide? Since it has serial # on it is it considered a tool?

Thanks in advance!

Mine is very accurate ,

Ps. I’m using the saw today, very convenient saw.

I have both the FSK-420 and the FSK-670, they are both accurate.  Spent several quality hours with mine building soffits today, back at it tomorrow!  I do find that I have to be careful to ensure the stop is fully engaged and locked and index it on the stock carefully to ensure consistent cuts.

Call Festool service direct...I bought a recon 55 with 55" track, track had an 1/8" deviation about half way down. They sent me a new one, did not want the bad one back.  They have always bent over backwards for my questions and requests.

My 420 track is out about 1/16” across a 2x10.  I need to put a 1/32” shim on the fixed stop to bring it into square.  I will probably put some UHMW tape around the stop to shim it.  Only problem is I only have 5 mil tape which would probably require 5-6 layers.

I get about the same result with mine. I was thinking about tapping in a set screw (or two) to help that out a bit. Pity that Festool presumed acceptable tolerances for us in that regard.
