Garden bench with dominoes instead of fixed tenons?

I've been meaning to build a garden bench like the one in this FWW article

But I got to wondering if sipo tenons would work here.

Plenty of search returns here about using dominoes for shop benches and tables, but not so much for something you'd sit on.

Anybody care to hazard a guess?

There are numerous members here make chairs with Domino joinery with great results.  I think your bench is a perfect application for the Domino.

Use the Sipo dominos if it is going to be outdoors.
