It's either the general or the dewalt for me.
Has anyone ever used the general?
I'm planning on getting one tomorrow unless someone talks me out of it...I work professionally from home, haven't came across too many occasions where 13" was too small...in fact I try to buy the most compact version out there, so I'm set on getting a bech top planer and the helical head seems like a sweet deal!
I know the dewalt gets awesome ratings but I'm just not sold..it was stupid loud , blades seemed to wear really fast (could have just been un lucky) and altho the blower on the back prevented any clogs it seemed a bit over the top...it's literally a 15amp leaf blower.
With that said I still think the dewalt is one of the best benchtopplaners out there, I was just hoping the general was better..
