Getting hold of Parf Dogs in the UK?

Hi

I was after a set of each - but no where seems to have them in stock - are there any UK dealers with stock?

Axminster is quoting 3 weeks (Axminster appears to be low on stock generally - many things I've looked at aren't available).

I was about to order also some of this bench dogs in the UK (axminster) because there are none in France... :(
Il you guys have a idea... ???

It's the Qwas square I'm after. As I'm not endowed with a MFT. Any ideas where I might get one?

Steve (QWAS) will post one to you. Or, knock up some kind of MFT hole setup and grab some of the QWAS Rail Dogs instead, I use them all the time and can highly recommend. PM if you want any info.

There's a lad on here who recently bought those very items from eBay, perhaps he can let you know when he's had a good play with them - Mahomo59.
 
Thanks Gents, Steve reckoned $50 for shipping  [scared] but I've got a mate heading over to see his kids (5 kids 4 ended up in the US!) soon so I'll ask him nicely if he can slip it into his case.
 
If you need some and can't find them locally, remember that you have a 'buddy' in Minnesnowta that would be willing to ship them anywhere via global Priority Mail.

Thanks for the replies. I'm making do with 20mm conduit which fits perfectly at the moment! But hope when I next look they'll be back in stock or I'll go for John's or the Ebay ones.

I thought it important to let you know that the only Parf Dogs being made are under the Veritas name from Lee Valley. They are made of stainless steel and are machined to a very tight tolerance needed for MFT and similar benches. They are sold in Europe by Axminster and are the only product that I allow to be associated with my name. Axminster will have their stock soon.

I have just phoned the order line and the young lady said 10 days time. This would appear to be quite accurate as last week on the web site it said 3 weeks time and now it says 2 weeks and so 10 days fits in with that.

I did not realise that they are available from a German supplier. In order to help each other out here in Europe, if you know of a supplier of the Veritas Parf Dogs where you are please post the information here.

Hi  -

Axminster has stock hitting a UK port within a week... and another order scheduled to leave in a fortnight. I expect they got caught by the initial demand - but they are supporting the product well. I would not be surprised if they beat their quoted ship date....

For customers on the continent, Dieter Schmid should have stock, and Baptist in Holland is picking them up - order shipping out next week.
