The cabinets I posted in the finish section of this forum are to receive a 7-1/4" cove crown.
The crown had cupped so it was rocking on th bed of the Kapex. Due to it’s size cutting in position was not an option. Grief would be an understatement.
I called [member=1020]justinh[/member] to find out which DeWalt 12" saw I should purchase (he is the guru of DeWalt miter saws). He informed me I did not need to buy a new saw and explained to me how to make a bed that allowed the crown to "float" on the bed.
This solved the rocking issue but we still have an improper spring angle. This was causing us to need to rock the crown back to get the corners to "almost" close. Solved this issue on the jointer with some mag switch feather boards and a board clamped to the vertical fence.
Thanks Justin, your advice turned a miserable job into a normal endeavor.
