Okay guys, I'm a flooring guy but I've built a few vanities, bookcases and cabinets. Generally I would stain and use the high priced cans of lacquer from Draft as a top coat. In the rare occasions that white is needed I had a small sprayer that you place in a gallon bucket.  It worked fine but the pump died awhile ago.
What system, and finishes do you recommend for spraying bookcases and cabinetry? It's not an everyday thing maybe once in a month or two

graco 5 stage hvlp. It'll spray paints in addition to clears. I'd try to have a gun for solvent based and a gun for water based. Its a great machine, i do own one.

Before you buy the Graco 9.5 go listen to it. I find it very whinny. Sprays very well, I just can't stand the sound.

I use a Fuji Q4.

Hello try the 3M PPS setup, easy cleanup, reduced micro bubbles when spraying WB pigmented topcoat lacquer and able to spray in any direction without loss of paint

I use the Agualente Precat WB pigmented topcoat lacquer and Sher-Wood Kem Aqua Pigment Lacquer
Aqualente stain-blocking water Borne primer
